This has been achieved through constant attention to providing detailed risk assessment and method statements and the training of all managers and staff.
In addition, monitoring of all works and providing arboricultural teams with both advice and supervision and improvement where necessary, has created safer work procedures.
Midland Forestry Ltd carries out four basic risk assessments prior to commencement of works:
Generic and Site specific risk assessments
Working at Height risk assessment
Pre-climb (tree climbers) risk assessment
Traffic and Highways risk assessment
In addition environmental risk assessments are carried out as necessary.
