Want to know more about us.  Midland Forestry have been operating for over 25 years and have built up a vast array of experience and skills in tree Surgery and our  teams are fully qualified. We offer a full range of aboricultural services to both Domestic and Commercial clients, all delivered to the very highest standard.

Midlands Division, MD

Paul Nowell MD, has been in the arboricultural industry for 25 years and has gained a wealth of experience. Starting as a freelance climber in the 90’s then setting up a small team of his own sub contracting.

He joined Midland Forestry in 2005 as a team leader and soon moved onto contract manager in 2006. He has an in depth knowledge of the industry from small domestic pruning to large scale commercial contracts, each being dealt with the same professional approach.

He has the Arboricultural Associations Technicians Certificate and the Professional Tree Inspectors qualifications which backs up his experience and enables him to give good advice. In 2019 Paul took the opportunity to become managing director with a progressive vision for the future of Midland Forestry. 

Office Manager

Christine Freeman, Office Manager started to work for Midland Forestry 10 years ago and has since progressed to be the office manager controlling the accounts, human resources, and operational aspects of the company.

For most of our current or prospective clients she is the first port of call ensuring that Midland Forestry present a professional and friendly front. Chrissy has experience working across both the Midlands and Southwest division of the company making her the ideal person to direct clients or suppliers as she is always happy to help.

 

Operations Manager

Luke Goldsby Operations manager. After deciding on a career change he left the construction sector and decided on a career in forestry, at the age of 16 he left home to work for a forestry company as a self employed felling contractor working all over the UK, after several years of this decided he was ready to get a more localised job, so began his 20 year career at Midland Forestry becoming a lead climber and team leader then progressed well becoming the operations manager for the Midlands division.

Compliance Manager

Elizabeth Dauncey, Compliance Manager has recently entered the Arboricutural industry after graduating with a Forest Management degree from the University of Cumbria. Her placement year was spent working with a small arboriculture/forestry company in Yorkshire planting trees and completing planning and grant applications for works set to take place in the following summer.

By applying her theoretical knowledge to the field, she has solidified her knowledge of how to effectively plan and carry out forestry and arboricultural operations. Elizabeth joined Midland Forestry in 2022 and has since taken over managing compliance objectives that go with being an Arb Approved contractor that conforms with ISO 9001 and 14001 along with other schemes such as CHAS, Constructionline and Alcumus Safe Contractor.
