Tree Surgery
Felling
Including the removal of dangerous & storm damaged trees either by straight fell, sectional dismantle from a rope and harness or dismantled with the use of a mobile crane or mobile elevated work platform(MEWP)
Crown Reduction
Is the reduction in the overall height and spread of the tree canopy by a specified meterage suitable to the species and condition of the tree usually by 10%, 20% or 30%.
Pollarding
Management plan to maintain a controlled sized canopy on mature trees.
Crown thinning
The removal of foliage will reduce density throughout the whole crown by a percentage between 10%, 20% or 30%.
Coppicing
Generally not used anymore, but effectively the tree is felled to the ground and provides regrowth of shoots.
Crown lifting
The removal of the lower branches from the main stem or branch system up to a specified height to achieve the desired ground clearance
Formative and specialist fruit pruning
The tree is individually considered and the general description of the work to be done is to be assessed in relation to the shape, size, character, condition, site and species of tree.
Tree Planting & Aftercare
Single tree projects to large scale projects, we plant all size of trees from whips to heavy standard trees. Full aftercare can be provided including watering and maintenance from tree tie adjustment and replacement to formative pruning. We have a dedicated tree planting team that plant through the season from November to March and then watering and aftercare from May to September.
Site Clearance
Working with local authorities, utility companies, civil engineers and construction companies, we can offer a complete service from supplying surveys to BS5837 Trees in relation to Design, Construction and Demolition, providing on site Ecologist support, Arboricultural works and or complete tree and vegetation clearance.
